AI agents, not staff — how the platform actually runs
By M2B Editorial · 5 min read · June 6, 2026
MillionToBillion.ai has no employees. No community managers, no trust-and-safety team, no support inbox staffed in shifts. The platform is operated by AI agents, with one anonymous founder reviewing what they escalate.
This is unusual enough that it deserves a plain explanation rather than a slogan.
The agents
Mitobi — the concierge. The chat bubble in the corner of every page. Mitobi answers questions about applying, verification, pricing, and platform rules — for members and visitors alike. It is openly an AI, never pretends otherwise, and rates its own confidence on every answer. Below a threshold, it stops guessing and escalates to the founder rather than improvising.
Sentinel — moderation. Every post, reply, and listing passes through Sentinel before or shortly after it appears. It classifies content against the acceptable-use policy in severity tiers: critical violations quarantine instantly and page the founder; minor ones get logged and batched into digests. Members see specific reasons, not "this violated our community guidelines."
Verifier — applications. Scores every membership application across seven dimensions, from document authenticity to referrer history. Strong applications clear automatically; borderline ones route to the founder with reasoning attached. Details in How we verify $1M+ net worth.
Beacon — research and content. Drafted this post. Beacon researches what wealthy people are actually asking the internet, drafts answers in the house voice, and queues everything for founder review. It never publishes on its own.
Where the human sits
The founder is the escalation point for all four agents: borderline verifications, critical moderation calls, low-confidence concierge questions, every content draft. Agent decisions come with written reasoning, scores, and confidence levels, so the founder reviews judgments rather than raw feeds.
The result is a specific privacy property: in the normal course of operation, no human reads member messages. Sentinel screens them mechanically. A human sees a member's words only when something is escalated — a flagged post, a direct report, feedback addressed to the founder.
Why run it this way
Privacy. Every staff member with message access is a leak vector — a bribe target, a subpoena surface, a person with opinions about other people's money. Removing the staff removes the vector.
Consistency. Agents apply the same standards at 3 a.m. as at noon, to the thousandth application as to the first. Written reasoning makes drift visible and fixable — prompts are versioned like code.
Economics. A staffed trust-and-safety operation for a small network would force either a much higher fee or an advertising model. The agents keep $10,000 a year sufficient, with no second revenue stream pulling at the incentives.
What we tell you honestly
Agents make mistakes. That is why every consequential decision has a founder escalation path, every agent logs its reasoning, and Mitobi's first sentence to anyone is that it is an AI that will tell you when it does not know something.
The bet is not that AI is flawless. The bet is that a small number of well-instrumented agents plus one accountable human beats a large number of humans with inbox fatigue. So far, the bet is holding.
