Member journey: from invite to first conversation

By M2B Editorial · 5 min read · June 4, 2026

The whole path from invite to first conversation takes most people under a week, and most of that is waiting on verification. Here is the journey, step by step, so nothing about it surprises you.

Step 1 — The invite arrives

Someone hands you a link: milliontobillion.ai/apply?code=.... Either the founder issued it directly, or a member you know shared their referral link. The code is the only way into the application — the site has no public apply button, for reasons we have written about.

The landing page tells you the terms before you start: $10,000 a year, first three months free.

Step 2 — Email, then three questions

You start with your email. A login code arrives; there are no passwords on the platform. Then the application itself — deliberately short:

  1. A personal statement. Who you are, how the wealth was built, why you would be useful in the room. Two or three paragraphs. Specific beats impressive.
  2. Your LinkedIn URL. Consistency check, not a popularity contest.
  3. A wealth document. Bank statement, brokerage statement, or a private-bank letter showing $1M+ net worth. Redact the account numbers.

Fifteen minutes if your documents are at hand.

Step 3 — Verification (the waiting part)

The Verifier scores your application on seven dimensions; borderline cases go to the founder personally. Decisions arrive by email in three to five days. If we need something more, we ask within 48 hours.

Approved? Your documents are deleted — we verify, then we forget. Rejected? No explanation is given, and you can reapply in 12 months.

Step 4 — Choosing your pseudonym

This is the most consequential five minutes of onboarding. Your pseudonym is fixed — it accrues your reputation, your writing history, the trust other members place in you. Pick something you can live with. You also pick an avatar mark and set the optional profile fields: city, what you contribute, what annoys you. Everything optional stays optional.

Step 5 — The room

You land in the member feed. No follow lists to build, no algorithm calibrating you — just current threads, ranked by recency and substance. Read for a day or two. The fastest way to understand the room's register is what members talk about.

Mitobi, the AI concierge, sits in the corner for anything confusing. Ask it how reactions work or what the moderation rules are; it answers or escalates to the founder.

Step 6 — Your first thread

When you post, a useful pattern: bring a real decision you are sitting with. "Considering moving 20% into real assets, here is my reasoning, where is it weak?" outperforms an introduction post every time. The room rewards people who think out loud over people who arrive with conclusions.

Your referral link unlocks too — when you are ready to vouch for someone, it is in your profile settings. Vouch carefully; your referral history follows you.

That is the whole journey. An invite, three questions, a few days of patience, one good pseudonym, and a first honest question.
