Why invite-only matters at our scale

By M2B Editorial · 4 min read · June 7, 2026

There is no apply button on milliontobillion.ai. The pricing is right there in the header — $10,000 a year, first three months free — but you cannot click your way to an application. You need a code: either an invite issued by the founder, or a referral link from an existing member.

This annoys some people. It is supposed to.

What an open door costs

Open applications optimize for volume. Volume is exactly wrong for a verified network, three ways:

Verification quality collapses. Every application costs real review effort. Flood the pipeline with unqualified applicants and either standards drop or the review queue grows until serious applicants walk away. Gating at the door keeps the Verifier working on applications worth verifying.

The room fills with sellers. Anyone whose job is reaching wealthy people — fund marketers, brokers, agency founders — will pay $10,000 for access to a room of verified millionaires. That is a bargain for them and a tax on everyone else. A referral requirement means someone with standing vouches for every new member, and their judgment is on record.

Trust stops compounding. In small rooms, trust is the network effect. Each member who joined through someone credible makes the next conversation slightly more honest. Each stranger who walked in off the street makes it slightly more guarded. Compounding works in both directions.

The two channels

Founder invites. Issued in small batches, personally, often with a note about why this person. These seed the network with people the platform wants rather than people who found the platform.

Member referrals. Every member has a referral link they can share without limit. The Verifier still scores every referred applicant — referral gets you an application, not an approval — and the referrer dimension feeds the score. Vouch carelessly and it shows.

Both channels lead to the same gate: the same three questions, the same wealth document, the same 3-5 day decision described in our verification methodology.

Why pricing is public anyway

Hiding the fee would create exactly the dynamic we are avoiding — people investing time in an application only to discover the terms. The pill in the header does the filtering up front. If $10,000 a year is a hard question, the room probably is not for you yet. If it is an easy question, you are the person an existing member should refer.

The scale ceiling is the point

Invite-only puts a ceiling on growth. We accept that trade. A network of verified millionaires that grows fast enough to excite a growth team would, by that very fact, no longer be verifying carefully. The slow door is the moat.
